WHY FINDING BALANCE IS MORE A MATTER OF MIND
THAN A MATTER OF TIME
You’ve seen the plate spinners from the circus.
Someone madly running back and forth between plates,
trying to keep them spinning so they don’t fall off their poles.
Just when they get one plate stable, another one is about to fall off.
Just watching them is stressful.

But it seems a lot of us are doing
something like that every day -
a careful balancing act keeping different aspects
of our lives “spinning.”
And thus, most of us feel stressed, overwhelmed,
and constantly guilty about the “plate”
we are neglecting at the moment.
But, maybe that whole idea is actually flawed.
Maybe the assumption that life is about keeping plates spinning is actually creating the problem
and thus creating unnecessary stress.
You see, finding balance is more a matter of the mind
than a matter of time.
And once we figure out that balance in our minds,
things actually fall into place.

CONNECTION
CONNECTION happens between people who feel seen, heard, cared about, supported, or understood in some way.
It’s a bond formed when those involved share and interact in non-judgmental ways
and feel safe to be authentic and vulnerable.
Connection builds trust and gives a sense of belonging and worth.
We all crave connection because we are highly social beings who are hardwired for it.
CONNECTION the catalyst for deep, meaningful relationships.
Genuine connection is the substance friendships and relationships are made of.
We feel connection with many more people than we actually have relationships with.
However, it doesn’t’ take away from its powerful effects on us.
